Our approach

We respect intellectual property rights. Although every song on Sonvi is AI-generated, a generated song may still resemble an existing work. If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright or other rights, let us know and we will review it promptly.

Quick report

On any song, click the flag button and choose "Copyright concern". This is the fastest way to flag a problem, but it does not replace a formal notice when you want us to act on a legal claim.

Formal notice

Send a written notice to [email protected] that includes:

• your physical or electronic signature;
• identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
• the URL of each song page on Sonvi that you claim is infringing;
• your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on its behalf.

Notices in this form meet the requirements of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and the notice-and-action rules of the EU Digital Services Act.

What happens next

We confirm receipt of valid notices, remove or disable access to the content concerned and record our decision. If the notice was sent in bad faith or is clearly unfounded, we may reject it. Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to [email protected]. It must include your signature, identification of the removed content and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, and your contact details together with your consent to the jurisdiction of the competent court.

We may restore the content unless the person who sent the original notice tells us that they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringement

We remove content and, where applicable, block access for users or sources that repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
